Comparing AdS/QCD and Sum Rules predictions for B->K* nu nubar 1h
Using the form factors obtained from holographic AdS/QCD and sum rules, we predict the differential branching ratio and longitudinal polarization fraction for the rare B->K^* nu nubar decay. This is an interesting decay channel as it does not suffer from hadronic uncertainties beyond the form factors.

Decoding Leptonic and Semileptonic B Decays 1h
We present a new strategy to explore New Physics contributions to leptonic and semileptonic B decays. With this method we can give constraints to the Wilson coefficients of the usual model-independent low-energy effective Hamiltonian; general considerations on selected models are presented, too. We devote particular attention to the effect of possible CP-violating phases in the short-distance coefficients, and assess the impact of New Physics for the determination of the CKM matrix element $|V_{ub}|$. This strategy can also be implemented for $B_c$ decays.

Measurement of the time-integrated CP asymmetry in D0 -> KS0 KS0 decays with LHCb 1h
CP violation in charm has not yet been observed, although measurements of time-integrated CP asymmetries in D0->K+K- and D0->pi+pi- decays have reached a remarkable precision, O(0.1%). The D0->KS0 KS0 decay is a promising discovery channel for CP violation in charm. A prediction based on Standard Model gives an upper limit for the CP asymmetry of 1.1% (C.L. 95%). Further enhancements could result from contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model. We present a measurement of the time-integrated CP asymmetry in prompt D0->K0S K0S decays, performed using data collected with LHCb experiment in 2015 and 2016 at a 13 TeV pp center-of-mass energy (Run-2). This result improves the sensitivity obtained by LHCb in Run-1.

Muon identification and performance in the ATLAS experiment 1h
Muon reconstruction and identification play a fundamental role in many analyses of central importance in the LHC run-2 Physics programme. The algorithms and the criteria used in ATLAS for the reconstruction and identification of muons with transverse momentum from a few GeV to the TeV scale will be presented. Their performance is measured in data based on the decays of Z and J/ψ to pairs of muons, that provide a large statistics calibration sample. Reconstruction and identification efficiencies are evaluated, as well as momentum scales and resolutions, and the results are used to derive precise MC simulation corrections. Isolation selection criteria and their performances in presence of high pileup will also be presented.

The nuclear modification factor of D and B mesons in a field fluctuating quark-gluon plasma at LHC energies 1h
The main goal of the ongoing relativistic heavy-ion collision experiments is to study the possible hot and dense deconfined state of QCD matter produced in such high energy collisions called Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP). In order to study the QGP, we need to probe it. High energy partons are produced in initial partonic subprocesses in the collisions between two heavy nuclei. The Heavy quarks are mostly produced at the early stage of the collisions from the initial fusion of the partons which makes them a good probe to study the QGP. Immediately after their production, these heavy quarks will travel through the dense QGP medium and will start loosing energy by elastic collisions and bremsstrahlung gluon radiations. These energy loss calculations are usually obtained by considering the QGP medium in an average manner and statistical field fluctuations of the QGP medium are ignored. Since the QGP is a statistical system of mobile color charge particles, one could characterize it by stochastic electromagnetic field fluctuations. The effect of this field fluctuations in the QGP leads to an energy gain of the travelling heavy quarks of all momenta and significant at the lower ones. We have calculated the nuclear modification factor (R_{AA}) of D and B mesons by considering the collisional and radiative energy loss of charm and beauty quarks along with the energy gain due to field fluctuations. Our results are in good agreement with the experimentally measured R_{AA} of D and B mesons by ALICE and CMS experiments at \sqrt s_{NN}= 2.76 TeV and \sqrt s_{NN}=5.02 TeV.

Trigger techniques for B-Physics at CMS 1h
The large instantaneous luminosity delivered by LHC to the CMS experiment in Run 2 is an important opportunity for the study of rare B-hadron decays, like B0(s)->MuMu and B0->K*MuMu. The main drawback of this luminosity increase is that the trigger selections need to be more tight, in order to fit the rate of recorded events in the limits imposed by the available computer resources. This constraints impose a challenge in the development of new trigger tools and algorithms, which are optimized to keep high acceptance on signal events, while reducing the rate of background events collected. In this poster, both the trigger algorithms developed for the Level-1 Trigger and High-Level Trigger and the performance achieved will be presented.

        Utilising $B\to\pi K$ Decays at the High-Precision Frontier 1h
The $B \to \pi K$ decays have received a lot of attention over the last two decades, with puzzling patterns in the previous data. They form a particularly interesting set of decays as they are dominated by QCD penguin topologies. Electroweak penguin topologies also play a significant role, giving a contribution at the level of the tree topologies. We show that a previous discrepancy in the correlation between the CP asymmetries of $B^0_d \to \pi^0 K_{\rm S}$ has grown stronger, in particular due to more precise measurements of the unitarity triangle angle $\gamma$. A modified electroweak penguin sector offers an attractive avenue for new particles to enter. Particularly interesting are models with extra Z’ bosons, which are also considered as an explanation of the current data for rare $B \to K^{(*)}\ell^+\ell^-$ decays. We provide a new method to determine the electroweak penguin parameters, and apply it to current data for charged $B \to \pi K$ decays. Moreover, we discuss utilizing CP violation in $B^0_d\to\pi^0K_{\rm S}$, for which Belle II offers excellent prospects. The implementation of our strategy at Belle II has the exciting potential to establish New Physics in the electroweak penguin sector.
