The conference will take place on 23-27 June on the Lido Island.
June is already in the touristic high season for the Lido hotels, hence
we recommend to book a room as soon as possible to avoid the incovenience of not finding any availability and prevent the price increase that will happen after April 30th.
How to book a room at Lido
There are three possibilities:
- search for availabilties through the usual portals (i.e. booking, trivago, etc.);
- confirm one of the pre-booked rooms available at the link below of a dedicated portal. These have been provided by the LOC purposely for the Symposium participants. There is no commitment but a possibility to find a room in a easier way (large choice of hotels in various categories and various prices);
- take advantage of some pre-booked rooms at a very convenient price. These have been provided by the LOC purposely for PhD students and young researchers.
The dedicated portal
To assure availability at better prices, the European Strategy LOC has pre-booked a considerable number of rooms in almost all the hotels at the island. Aside just a couple of hotels, all the other offer only double rooms (DBL) or double used as single (DUS).
All rooms are pre-booked from June 22nd (IN) to June 28th (OUT).
Please note that Villa Laguna, Ca' del Moro, Villa Orio have availabilty only until the 27th (out)

Participants are kindly invited to provide the hotel confirmation and payment on their own, through the dedicated portal set up specifically for the Symposium.
Any interaction for information, changing of dates, cancellation, reimbursement must occur directly through the hotels chosen at the link below.
Referring to the "INFN-European Strategy" event is strongly suggested whenever further information should occurr.
Policies
Please note that the following policies are the same for any hotel (listed in the portal) you choose:
- when confirming the room/s (up to 3 rooms paid with the same credit card) 40% of the total amount should be anticipated by credit card as a guarantee. Balance due directly to the hotel, at the end of your stay;
- when confirming the room/s (more than 3 rooms paid with the same credit card) 40% of the total amount should be anticipated by credit card as a guarantee. Balance due entirely by 30 days before arrival;
- regular receipt of payment will be issued directly by the hotel, upon payment
- aside the cost of the room, please be aware that a city tax must be paid directly at the hotel upon arrival. Cost may vary and depends on the hotel type (number of stars)
- Please note that prices change (increase!) after April 30th
Cancellation and modification
- if made up to the 30th day before the arrival: allowed with no penalty:
- if made from the 29th day to the 15th day before arrival: allowed with a penalty equal to 50% of the total amount;
- if made after the 14th day before the arrival: allowed with a penalty equal to 100% of the total amount.
When choosing the preferred hotel, please indicate the dates and the number of guests and the system will confirm the availability and the total price. Next to it there is an information botton where your reservation will be summarized.
