Introduction (Federico)

  • EuPRAXIA goal is to reach for high quality compact plasma accelerator, demonstrating user readiness and attracting pilot users;
  • CDR published in 2020, project Consortium on the ESFRI Roadmap in 2021;
  • EuPRAXIA_PP
    • update concepts and parameters of the CDR,
    • R&D towards TDR, prototyping,
    • define additional funding models.
  • WP9 covers:
    • Compact magnets,
    • RF high power sources,
    • Magnetic undulators,
      • Constraints from the 2nd site choice
  • 3 Deliverables + 1 Milestone as WP9 workload:
    • D9.1 to be released by the end of the year: report on structures
  • 10 institutions, 44 person-moths in total

Indico agenda for the meetings set up and visible to everyone

  • Evangelos on the D9.1: is it the funding scheme to be delivered as well?
    • Antonio: the goal is to understand how much is needed to get the required tech readiness level, review state of art and propose how to proceed from it. Not the funding but the possibility for funding for future coordinated requests.

INFN (David)

  • Not a clear idea what to do until Today. Already involved into EuPRAXIA@SPARC_Lab
  • Developments in S- (inj) and X-band (acc) structures
    • Work is going on in the framework of the EuPRAXIA@SPARC_lab TDR
    • Prototyping, testing
    • Short X-band Prototypes in Feb 2023
    • Structure in Sep 2023
  • Looking forward to finding synergies with EuPRAXIA_PP. Comment: no extra effort is requested from the SPARC_Lab team

UKRI (Ben)

  •  Permanent magnets for improving sustainability and efficiency
    • Tunable Perm Magnets (ZEPTO): quads and dipoles
    • Hybrid devices
    • allbach quads – fixed field magnets
  • Thin film SRF
  • High Eff magnetic strength
  • SC undulators
    • aiming at 2 m module suitable for XFEL facilities
    • have a prototype

Uni Sapienza (Enrica)
