YIQIS 2020 will be held on the Remo platform. You do not need to download any additional software. If you are an attendee, you can access on your computer as well as your mobile. Speakers, panelists, chairpersons and poster presenters must access only by computer. Each day we will provide by email three links which will give you access to three separate events: one for the oral sessions, one for the career panel and one for the poster session. Separate links will also be sent on the day for the satellite event tutorial lecture and for the social event. Here below you will find detailed instructions for attendees, speakers and poster presenters.
Before the conference starts
Before the conference starts you can setup your Remo profile which will be a useful tool to network during the event. Refer to this video for instructions.
Information for attendees
Attendees can join the event both from mobile and from computers. This video provides a good introduction to the platform and its capabilities. Asking questions: During the oral presentations you will see a Q&A panel on the right of your speaker. Here you can ask questions (also anonymously) and vote for your favourite questions to be asked by the chair person at the end of the seminar. During our social event you will also be allowed to ask live questions. To do so, just use the "raise your hand" button and wait for the moderator to allow you to speak. For other information please refer to the Remo Help page.
Information for poster contributions
Poster sections will be arranged making use of the tables functionality on Remo. Each table is equipped with a whiteboard, which can be accessed as explained in this video. You will find your poster in pdf format pre-loaded and locked on the whiteboard of the table named according to the book of abstract poster code associated with your poster. You just have to sit at your table, and wait for other attendees to come and join you to discuss your amazing science! Exactly as in a real conference poster session, you will also be able to sneak around and look at other people's poster when your table is quiet, but remember to keep an eye on it, in case someone joins in!
Information for Speakers and Panelists
Invited, contributed speakers, and panelists will access the conference as general attendees, so we advise you to follow the same video to familiarise with the platform ahead. When it's your turn to speak, you will see a pop up message promoting you to speaker. As soon as you accept the request, you will be broadcasted to the whole audience.
