The series of Italian Quantum Information Science Conferences brings together since 2008 researchers from Italy and all over the world in the field of Quantum Information and related Technologies.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the 2020 edition of the IQIS conference will be held online as Young IQIS 2020 and will be specifically addressed to students and young researchers.
Talks, posters, and career panels will take place from September 28th to October the 2nd, in the afternoons of Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Prof. Laleh Memarzadeh (Sharif University of Technology, Tehran) will give a tutorial lecture on Monday morning.
On Thursday afternoon, there will be a Q&A session with Prof. Scott Aaronson (University of Texas, Austin).
Young researchers, postdocs and PhD students will have the opportunity to present their research, meet high-profile representatives from Academia, Publishing and Enterprises in career-panel sessions, and establish collaborations.
YIQIS 2020 will continue the work of the Italian Quantum community and agenda, first set in Camerino in 2008 (2008) and then continued in Pisa (2009), Torino (2010), Vietri (2011), Padova (2012), Como (2013), Salerno (2014), Monopoli (2015), Roma (2016), Firenze (2017), Catania (2018) and Milano (2019).
