Description

Starting from hyperbolic dispersion relations for the invariant amplitudes of πN scattering together with crossing symmetry and unitarity, we derive and solve a closed system of integral equations for the partial waves of both s-channel (πN → πN) and t-channel (ππ →NN) reactions, called Roy-Steiner equations. Special attention is given to the possible sources of uncertainties and to the obtained σpiN term value.
