VISA Application and Documentation
Everyone entering Italy must have a valid passport, or in the case of European Union Member States, a valid national identity card.
Visas are required for some Countries. Delegates should check with their local representation. Please, note that it can take up to 8 weeks to process a visa application and early application is recommended. The conference organizers, or its agents, cannot accept any responsibility for visa applications. Where a delegate is unable to attend because of failure to obtain a visa on time, the normal cancellation policy for registration fee will apply.
If you need to apply for a visa, please register for the congress, and request a visa letter from the CD2015 Organizing Committee. The delegate may also need to request a letter from their respective hotel confirming the address where they will be staying during the Conference days.

How to reach Pisa
By Air
Pisa Airport "Galileo Galilei" is the main destination in Tuscany and in central Italy (after Rome).
Served by several airlines that operate hundred of weekly flights to national and international destinations, the airport is developing as one of the busiest in Italy thanks also to numerous companies offering a low cost alternative.
The airport is just 5 minutes far from the centre of the town by bus (CPT bus line n 3 just stops outside the airport passing through the central train station on its way to the centre), train or taxi, plus regular trains from and to Florence, Lucca, Viareggio, and other cities.

By Train
Pisa is very well connected to Florence and is on the main line Rome-La Spezia. The city also serves Viareggio, Livorno, Pistoia, and Lucca. For more information and train timetable visit the Ferrovie dello Stato website.
By Coach
The main services is operated by the partnership of Lazzi-CPT operating services to Florence, Lucca, Prato, Pistoia, Massa Carrara, Volterra, Livorno and many others.
By Car
Pisa is near the intersection of two highways: A12 north-south (Sestri Levante - Livorno) and A11 east-west (Pisa - Florence). Alternatives include the ss67 to Florence, and the ss1 (Via Aurelia) which connect Rome to La Spezia.
Transport in Pisa city centre
The bus service is operated by CPT with LAMrossa (red) line from the airport to the city centre and the Cathedral.
The city also offers efficient car parks served then by city shuttles to the main top sights.
