Description

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 3rd PANDORA Progress Meeting (PANDORA24), which will be held at the Legnaro National Laboratories of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN-LNL) on October 7-8, 2024.

After the successful previous editions (Catania 2021, Perugia 2019), we will have another opportunity to discuss about PANDORA future perspectives and new ideas, thus strengthening the collaboration now that the project is going towards the construction phase of the experimental facility. Dedicated presentations will show the project work packages status, about construction, foreseen experiments, theory and modelling, thus opening the table for a fruitful scientific discussion on the several possible physics cases and the related priorities.

The meeting is organized in presence; however, the possibility of remote participation is also foreseen.

LNL is one of the four national laboratories of INFN and is located at about 13 km from Padova and 40 km from Venice. With the availability of five hadron accelerators, it is an international user-oriented facility for fundamental research and applications (medicine, radiobiology). The development and innovation in the field of particle accelerators, radiation detectors, surface treatment technologies, thin film deposition and the associated technologies are the strengths of the Laboratories.
The radioactive beam facility SPES (Selective Production of Exotic Species) is the key project of LNL. In May 2024 the first proton beams were produced and delivered to experimental study of medical radioisotope production, thus completing successfully the Phase 1 of the Project.

We look forward to welcoming you at INFN-LNL!
