Description
We report on ongoing projects related to observations of prominent Carbon stars in the L-band. This wavelength region is of particular interest as it covers a strong band of C$_2$H$_2$ a building block of Carbon dust. The instruments used are MATISSE at the VLT Interferometer and ALES at LBTI.
