COMETA Consortium, together with the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN-LNS) and the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences organized the IV International Geant4 School.
The school was held at the Vinca Institute for Nuclear Sciences in Belgrade (Serbia), from October 23rd to 28th, within the framework of an International Collaboration pursued and signed by Dr G Cuttone and Dr GAP Cirrone (INFN-LNS and COMETA), Prof A Ristic-Fira and Prof I Petrovic (Vinca Institute) and under the Ministerial MAECI project between Italy and Serbia.
The school had 60 participants from more than 15 different countries all around the world: many of them came from Europe but also USA, South African, Russian students joined the event.
Lectures were given by Dr G Milluzzo, Dr L Pandola, Dr J Pipek, and Dr G Petringa from INFN-LNS (I) and Dr S Incerti and Dr N Lampe from CENBG (F).
The school opening cocktail was given by the Italian Embassy in Serbia, at the Hotel Slavija Garni in Belgrade.
His Excellency, Mr Giuseppe Manzo, the Ambassador of Italy to Serbia addressed all participants and thanked INFN-LNS, COMETA and the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences for the successful organization, inviting them to organize again such kind of event in 2017 in the framework of the same collaboration.
