How to get there (travel info)
The Conference will be hosted by the Consorzio Universitario Mediterraneo Orientale (CUMO) in Noto in a prestigious architectural complex recently restored. The conference venue is located in the old town of Noto at a walking distance from the hotels.
The town of Noto can be easily reached from Catania and its airport by bus. Several bus rides (about 1 hour and a half) connect the centre of Catania (and the airport) to Noto each day.
How to get to Catania
Catania can be easily reached by plane. Several flights per day connect the International Airport of Catania to Rome, Milano and some of the most important italian airports.Direct connections also exist with many european destinations.
When scheduling your flight to Catania please note that the last bus from the airport to Noto (see below) leaves at 18:40.
How to get to Noto from Catania
The town of Noto can be easily reached from Catania by bus. Several bus rides are available each day.The timetable is available here (don't forget to set the desired date on the top-left side of the window). The same bus leaves from the Catania bus terminal, stops at the airport after 10 m and then reaches Noto after about 1h 20m.
The bus terminal in Catania is located in at the corner between Via Archimede and Viale della Libertà, close to the railway station. The ticket office close by is in Via D'Amico 187.
At the airport, the bus stop is located on the right after exiting the terminal (just in front of the old terminal building).
In Noto the bus makes two stops. For all the hotels located inside the old town you have to get out at the second stop. All the hotels are at a walking distance from there.
The cost of the bus ride is € 8.40.
The timetable for buses operated by Interbus on monday September 29 afternoon and evening is the following:

In addition another bus, operated by AST, leaves from the Catania airport at 20:15 to arrive in Noto at 21:35.
Alternatively you can rent a car at the Catania airport. All the major car rental companies operate there.
On Monday september 29 we will organize a private bus from the airport to Noto for those arriving late in Catania. This bus will leave from the airport at about 22:00 and will cost € 30.
NB (very important) - Only those participants who have indicated in their registration form that they wish to use this bus, have been contacted for confirmation of the booking and further information.
Those who haven't specified this in the registration form but have realized later that they wish to book this service are asked to send asap an email to ricap14@lns.infn.it specifying the time of arrival in Catania, flight number and accompanying persons (if any).
Only participants who have booked this service will be allowed on the bus.
