OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

The Official language of the MICROS 2013 Symposium will be English.
All abstracts, papers and presentations must be in English.
 
 
HOW TO REACH TREVISO, Italy
 
By plane
 
Treviso is served by an International Airport (Aeroporto Treviso “Canova”).
 
Regular city bus (line 6 - ACTT) and taxi services connect the Treviso “Canova” airport terminal with the Treviso railway station and city centre (Piazza del Duomo).
Buses run approximately every 15- 20 minutes from 06:00 to 22:20.
Buses are cheaper than taxis.

Treviso city is very well connected by road and rail to many other International Airports in Northern Italy (Venezia “Marco Polo”, being the nearest; Verona; Bologna; Brescia; Bergamo; Milano Linate; Milano Malpensa).

From Venice International “
Marco Polo” airport, a regular Shuttle bus service link the airport terminal to Treviso railway station (50 minutes trip).
Shuttle bus run approximately every 2 hours from 9:00 to 22

Taxi services connect the Venezia “Marco Polo” airport terminal to Treviso city.
Buses are much cheaper than taxis
 

By train

Treviso is on the railway lines Venezia-Udine and Milano-Udine, respectively.
It can be easily reached from all the major Italian railway stations through the crossroads railway station Venezia-Mestre.

By car
 
Treviso can be reached by car through the Italian highway network:
 
  • highway A4 from west (from Torino/Turin-Milano) or east (from Trieste-Venezia) and then A27  
  • highways A1 and A14 (till Bologna and then A13), A13 (till Padova) and then   A4 (direction Venezia) and then A27
  • highways A22 (and then A4), A23, A27 and A28 from the North (from Brennero, Tarvisio, Belluno and Pordenone, respectively).
 

 
BADGES

All Registrants are kindly asked to wear badge during MICROS2013 Symposium. It will be specifically required for access to scientific sessions, lunches, social events and exhibition area.
Registered Companions and Exhibitors are kindly asked to wear their own badge during all MICROS2013 social and companion events.
 

LUNCHES
 
Lunches are included in the Conference registration fee and will be served at the “Hotel B4 Treviso - Maggior Consiglio” site of the Symposium.
Companions and Exhibitors wishing to have their lunch at the “Hotel B4 Treviso - Maggior Consiglio” may purchase vouchers directly at the Conference Desk.
 

OFFICIAL INVITATIONS
 
Official letters of invitation to the Symposium can be provided to participants upon request. Such letters are sent only for visa and permission purposes under no obligation for the Organizing Committee. Requests should be sent to the MICROS 2013 Conference Secretariat:  MICROS2013@LNL.INFN.IT
 

CURRENCY
 
The Italian/European currency is EURO.
 

CLIMATE
 
The weather in October in Treviso is generally fairly sunny, with temperatures in the range from 22°C / 71.6°F (max)  to 16°C / 60.8°F (min) and  humidity in the range 50 – 95%. Rainfalls and wind are possible, therefore rainwear/overcoat and sweaters are recommended.
