Financial Assistance for Young Investigators and Senior Scientists from Less-Favoured-Countries


Limited funds are available to assist Young Investigators and Researchers from Less-Favoured-Countries attending the Symposium by waiving the Symposium fee and, possibly, the partial or total reimbursement of travel and hotel expenses depending on various factors.
Since the support might not cover all the costs, the applicant is asked to indicate which kind of additional support from other sources may allow his/her attendance at the Symposium.
Eligibility criteria:

  • Young Investigators: Registered Students or Investigators within 5 years of receipt of their doctorate degree
  • Senior Scientists from Less-Favoured-Countries: Scientists with more than 10 yr of  doctorate coming from Less-Favoured Countries (please, refer to the to the World Bank Countries classification:
Applicants should fill in the specific online "Application Form", print as a pdf file and  send it by email to the Conference Secreteriat:

Along with the application form, all the applicants should send (by email, as pdf files):

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • a list of publications
  •  a supporting letter from the Head of Research Group, Department or Institute
  • the University Certificate or Supervisor Declaration, for Ph.D. Students.
  •  the abstract of their contribution
In filling in the online Form, all foreseen procedure steps are requested:

  • Enter all requested details in the form
  • Print the form as a pdf file by using the button “PRINT” inserted on the form,  and send it by  email along with all the above listed documents

All Applicants will be informed about the outcome of the evaluation of their application by August 17, 2013.
Note: the contribution, if selected, must be presented by the applicant.
