The November 10th afternoon will take place a social event that will conclude with a visit at the Sos Enattos mine where participant will have the dinner.

There are two possible choice, as social activity, both will conclude at the Sos Enattos mine:

 

 

First Option:

 

 

GeoET2021 Field trip "Across the ET Sardinia Site: a glimpse of the local geology"

Here is a 3h field program of an excursion limited to about 20 participants that will be performed by bus with very small trails on foot at each stops. In the field trip, salient structural features of the regional geology and most significative lithologies will be shown.

 

13.45h departure from Nuoro, the bus will leave from Via Manzoni, just nearby the ExMè center. A take away lunch will be provided.

 

14.20h Bitti-Onanì Granodiorite locally crossed by altered fractured bands. Position: Bitti 08021 (Nuoro) 40.474027, 9.354414 

 

14.45h leaving 

 

15.00h visit to Bitti vertex (P2) on fractured granitoids and Geolectric results (needs of keys from Lula to open the P2 gate) 40°31'32" 9°20'50"

15.30h leaving 

 

15.45h arrival on the augengneiss. Position 40°33'28.04'' 9°23'36.53'' (eventual stop)

 

16.00h leaving

 

16.10h View on one of the main fault contacts with Qz dykes and fractured zones within micaschists, with overprinting chloritization of older ductile structures on the Bitti-Mamone new road 08021. Position: 40.560705, 9.406094

17.10h sunset and leaving for Lula mines

 

17.50-19.30h visit to the Sos Enattos mines (Lula)

 

Recommendations: bring a reflective jacket, long trousers, mountain gear (Temperature can be around 11-13°C, and it can be wet and windy), a hat, a bottle of water and some snack in the sack, hand sanitizer. Given the current regulations, interpersonal distancing is strongly recommended even outdoors. In case of bad weather the excursion is considered to be canceled.

where there will be the possibility to visit the winery and taste a few of their local production together with local food (more information will follow soon).

 

Departure from Nuoro at 15:00, bus will leave from Via Manzoni, just nearby the ExMè center.
