Conference dinner will take place on May 30 (starting from 8:30 pm) at restaurant Lo Scalco dell'Aquila located in L'Aquila downtown area (Google Maps link).
LNGS is located near the village of Assergi inside the Gran Sasso-Laga National Park and is very close to the town of L’Aquila, the capital of the Abruzzo region. The history of the region is a fascinating blend of tradition and legends and the territory hosts a unique environment with rare species of flora and fauna. The lab is located a few minute drive from the Fonte Cerreto cable car station, which connects Assergi with the amazing mountain site of Campo Imperatore. Hiking and skiing are possible in the area, depending on the season. The city of L’Aquila was founded in mid-13th century. The central part of town offers ancient buildings and medieval churches, whereas a few sits of roman ruins can be found in the suburban areas.
