The 12th International Spring Seminar on Nuclear Physics “Current Problems and Prospects for Nuclear Structure” will be held in Sant’Angelo d’Ischia (one of the most beautiful and famous villages of Ischia, a volcanic island located in the bay of Naples) from May 15 to 19, 2017.
Participants are expected to arrive in Ischia by the evening of Sunday May 14. The Seminar will begin on Monday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m. and end on Friday, May 19 at about 6:00 p.m.
The program will consist of general talks and more specialized seminars on the following main topics:

A third and final circular providing detailed information on the transfer service from Ischia Porto to Sant'Angelo, social events and proceedings will be posted on our Web site by mid April. This second circular provides information on contributions, registration, accommodation and transport from Naples to Ischia.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Invited speakers as well as participants wishing to contribute to the Seminar are requested to elctronically submit a one-page abstract no later than April 1, 2017. All abstracts will be reproduced and collected in a volume to be issued to each participant at the time of registration. Depending on the number of submitted abstracts, a poster session may also be organized. Notification of selected oral or poster presentation will be given to the authors by mid April.
Abstracts should be written in LateX format, using the conference abstract template. Please send the LateX files by E-mail to spring2017@na.infn.it . Should you have further questions, please contact Giovanni De Gregorio .

The Seminar proceedings will be published by IOP in the online open access Journal of Physics: Conference Series . All submitted papers will bw peer reviewed. A hard copy of the proceedings volume will be made available to all conference participants. The cost is included in the registration fee.

Participants will be lodged in the Miramare Sea Resort and in nearby Hotels all within a walking distance from the Seminar Center of no more than 200 m. Each Hotel offers a package price covering accommodation with breakfast and dinner, but dinners will be served to all of them at the restaurant of the Miramare Sea Resort to provide the opportunity for contacts in a very pleasant and informal atmosphere. TRAVEL FROM NAPLES TO ISCHIA
The most convenient way to reach Ischia is to take a hydrofoil from Molo Beverello, with a travel time of about 50 minutes (cost ~18,00). Otherwise you can take a ferry from Calata Porta di Massa with travel time of about 1 hour 35 min (cost ~14,00). Both harbors can be reached from the Central Railway Station and Capodichino Airport by taxi at the cost of ~11 € and 19 €, respectively or by the ALIBUS shuttle (cost 4 € on board), leaving every 20 minutes from 06:30 until 23:30.
The last hydrofoil to Ischia leaves from Molo Beverello at 20:20 and the last ferry from Calata Porta di Massa at 21:55.
From Ischia Porto you can reach Sant'Angelo by bus (EAVBUS). It takes about 40 minutes. On Sunday May 14 the conference will provide a transfer service from Ischia Porto to Sant'Angelo d'Ischia in the morning and late afternoon (exact times will be given in the third circular by mid April).
