Social and special events

Social events

During the weekend, we shall organize excursions and social events to give the participants the chance to discover the Gran Sasso National Park and its surroundings.
There will be an excursion to the top of "Gran Sasso" with mountain guides and a guided tour of the charming medieval villages nearby, as well as the visit to the unique lodge in the "Rocca" of the Castle of Calascio mt.1450.
The students will rest and have dinner with exquisite and tasty plates in a traditional restaurant.

Special events
  • Q&A meeting - We shall organize a special Q&A session, where participants can ask questions about what has been presented and discussed at lectures and about their practical work underground. The session is a good opportunity for getting to know colleagues better and to ask more direct or even more difficult questions to the researchers of the lab.
  • Researchers' night - The researchers' night is an European event taking place on the night of September, 26th in about 300 cities all over Europe. This is an opportunity for people to explore science in engaging ways. The students will have the opportunity to take part to the realization of the event, explaining to the people what do researchers really do and why their work does matter in everyone's daily life.
