Description
As computing demand at the LHC continues to rise, assessing and reducing its environmental impact has become a central pillar of the WLCG strategy for the coming year.
In this talk, I will review the community‑wide initiatives and studies, bringing together both LHC experiments and WLCG computing sites to measure, monitor and reduce the environmental footprint of large‑scale scientific computing. I will also summarize the key findings from the December 2024 WLCG Environmental Sustainability Workshop, as well as the related reports at the recent HEPiX and WLCG Workshops.
