Description

One of the most striking phenomena involving neutrinos is Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering (CEνNS), a process in which the neutrino interacts coherently with the entire nucleus, significantly enhancing the interaction cross-section.
Predicted by Freedman in 1973 and first observed in 2017, CEνNS is a purely weak neutral current process, with a cross-section that scales with the square of the neutron number of the target nucleus.
In recent years, CEνNS has emerged as a sensitive probe for a wide range of physics scenarios, motivating global efforts to detect the tiny nuclear recoils it produces.
In this poster, I will review the current landscape of CEνNS searches, highlighting their implications for both Standard Model tests and searches for new physics. I will delve into the phenomenology of the process, describing its main theoretical features and the constraints on standard model parameters, including the neutrino charge radius, which is the only neutrino electromagnetic property predicted to be non-zero in the standard model. I will also highlight the constraints on new physics scenarios featuring new mediators.

Neutrino Properties My poster discusses the phenomenology of the CEvNS cross section to constrain standard model and neutrino parameters.
Neutrino Telescopes & Multi-messenger None
Neutrino Theory & Cosmology I will describe the theory of the CEvNS process, and I will review the constraints that can be obtained on Standard Model parameters, as well as neutrino properties like the neutrino charge radius.
Data Science and Detector R&D None
