Venue and Travel Info

EuCAIFCon will be hosted by the T Hotel in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy), easily reachable from Cagliari airport (CAG), port or train station.

Frequent flights from Rome and Milan are available but you may find direct connections to many European airports. Available connections from/to Cagliari are listed here: http://www.cagliariairport.it/en/destinations.html 

Transportation

Cagliari Airport is located outside from Cagliari in the town of Elmas. The Airport is connected to the city with the regional railway. Every train departing and going to Cagliari has a mandatory stop at Elmas train station. The rainstation is located 5 minutes on foot from the airport terminal.

The ticket costs 1.3 € and can be purchased online on Trenitalia or directly on the ticket wending machines at the railway station. Train operations stops after 10 p.m. and restarts around 6 a.m. . Within both hours only taxy service is provided. 

Local transport is organised mainly with 2 public companies:

1. CTM trasporti is responsible for the city transport. Tickets are available with the app (Android, Apple). Single way ticket cost 1.3 € for 90 minutes. Please pay attention on the validation of the ticket. If the bus is changed during the 90 minute ride, ticket must be validated again for insurance reasons. Same procedure must be done for a one day or one week ticket.

2. ARST is the sardinian public trasport company that connects cagliari to the rest of the island. Only reccomended if you want to reach some places outside Cagliari that are not connected with the train.

T-Hotel is not only the host of the conference but also a potential stay.
