You can reach the LiteBIRD face-to-face meeting venue in the following ways:
- By plane to Pisa or Roma Fiumicino airport, and then using the meeting buses provided.
- By train to Piombino Marittima, ferry-boat to Portoferraio. A meeting shuttle will be available upon request to connect participants to the meeting site from the Portoferraio harbour.
- By car to Piombino, ferry-boat to Portoferraio, a short drive to La Biodola (10km). Since parking is limited at the Hotel Hermitage, we encourage participants to use the meeting buses as much as possible.
We are organizing a shuttle bus connecting the LiteBIRD F2F Meeting site and Roma Airport "Leonardo da Vinci" (FCO) and Firenze "Amerigo Vespucci" airport (FLR). Below you find a final schedule:
Wednesday, September 27th: destination Hotel Hermitage
- from Roma Fiumicino airport at 11:00
- from Roma Fiumicino airport at 13:00
The meeting point for participants is at the Arrivals area -Terminal 3 - Entrance 1 (see map); - from Firenze airport at 14:00
The meeting point for participants is at the arrival gate.
There will be the reception staff waiting for you at the meeting points about one hour before the shuttle bus departure (details on name and mobile phone numbers provided by e-mail).
Monday, October 2nd: origin Hotel Hermitage
- to Roma Fiumicino airport at 7:00 (ferry at 8:00 - expected arrival by 12:30)
- to Firenze airport at 7:00 (ferry at 8:00 - expected arrival by 11:45)
