Low-threshold, large-mass Detector for Dark Matter and Coherent Neutrino Scattering

Speaker

Rupak Mahapatra

Description

Low-threshold (sub 100eV recoil), large-mass (100gm-kg scale) detectors are essential for searches for new physics in Dark Matter and Coherent Elastic Neutrino Nucleus Scattering experiments. I will present latest developments in this area at Texas A&M as the detectors apply to experiments like the SuperCDMS Dark Matter search experiment, the MINER CENNS experiment and the SPICE/HERALD low-mass Dark Matter search experiment.
