We had been hoping to be able to hold the conference on the originally scheduled period in October 2021 but given the pandemic situation we have decided to postpone the conference period to October 2022.

Tuesday October 22nd, 9.15 pm

Concert of the Orchestra of the Pisa University, at the main town Theatre "Giuseppe Verdi" located downtown in via Palestro 40 Pisa. The Orchestra will play the Symphony n. 1 by Brahms, directed by Manfred Giampietro.

Wednesday, October 25, 4.30 pm

Walking on top of the ancient walls from the "Torre Piezometrica" (at the Physics Department) down to the Leaning Tower (at Torre Santa Maria) - Outreach activity for Pisa citizens and tourists: Galileo will perform the experiment that Galileo never did (i.e. dropping stuff from the Leaning Tower) - Guided visit to Piazza dei Miracoli and the Ancient Cemetery, especially the (just restored) fresco Triumph of Death¶

Social dinner at DOMUS COMELIANA (under the Leaning Tower).

Thursday at 18:30 at the Museo della Grafica.

Exhibition "Il Ritmo dello Spazio"

The participants of QFC are invited by the European Gravitational Observatory hosting the Virgo GW antenna for a guided tour to the exhibition "The rhythm of space" (https://sites.ego-gw.eu/ilritmodellospazio)

"The rhythm of space" is an exhibition on art and science, inspired by the recent discoveries of gravitational waves and it is the result of a 2 year cross-refletion of artists of international importance with scientists and intellectuals.
