The following events are planned:
- A Welcome Reception will be held on Wednesday, September 20th, at 18:00 at Caffe' Pedrocchi (http://www.caffepedrocchi.it/), Via VIII Febbraio, 15 - Padova. Caffè Pedrocchi is a renowned historical café built by the architect Giuseppe Jappelli during 1826-1831. It was built in a Neoclassical style and was later donated to the City of Padua. A dedicated desk will be available in site for conference registration from 17:30.
- On Thursday, September 21st, at 14:15, a visit to the Legnaro Laboratories is planned, including the cyclotron premises.
- A guided visit to the Giotto’s Scrovegni Chapel (http://www.cappelladegliscrovegni.it/) is planned on Friday, September 22nd, at 17:30. The conference bus, leaving from LNL at 16:30 after the afternoon session, will take participants directly to the Chapel. The Scrovegni Chapel, a masterpiece in the history of painting in Italy and Europe in the 14th century, is considered to be the most complete series of frescoes executed by Giotto in his mature age. Groups of maximum 25 people are admitted per visit. Visit for two groups have been booked (the first at 17:30, the second at 17:45). Visits last a total of about 30 minutes, including the time to be spent in an air-conditioned waiting-room in order to stabilise the interior microclimate. Pets, bags, videocameras, cameras, food and drinks are not allowed inside the Chapel (participants can leave their belongings on the conference bus). Mobile phones should be kept in silent mode during the visit. The ticket includes entrance to the Eremitani Museum http://padovacultura.padovanet.it/en/musei/city-museums.
- The Conference Dinner will take place, after the visit to the Scrovegni Chapel, at Restaurant Liviangior (http://www.liviangior.it/), Via Marza, 11, Montegrotto Terme, on Friday, September 22nd, at 20:00. The conference bus will leave from Piazza Eremitani at 19:15. Participants who have not joined the visit to the Scrovegni Chapel are kindly asked to reach the meeting point at Piazza Eremitani. After the dinner, the bus will take participants back to the morning pick-up points.

CANCELLED A Social Excursion to Venice will take place on Saturday afternoon, September 23rd (bus departure from LNL at 14:30). The bus will take participants from LNL to Venice Fusina. A boat will take participants to Piazza San Marco. A guided tour (about two hours) to the main monuments and places of interest will follow (entrances are not included). At Rialto a free hour for shopping or personal visits is forseen. The excursion will continue with a dinner in a restaurant (Sestiere Zattere). After the dinner participants will be taken back to Fusina by boat and then to Padova by bus. The cost (100€) is not included in the registration fee.
N.B. The excursion will be made only if a minimum number of 30 participants is reached. The program is subject to change according to the number of participants. For organization purposes participants who intend to take part in the excursion are kindly asked to register and make payment by August 22. If the minimum number is not reached, participants will be notified by email after August 22 and the excursion fee will be totally reimbursed.
