V Seminario Nazionale Rivelatori Innovativi - SNRI2016

Scientific Programme

 

The SNRI-V course is structured in morning and afternoon sessions.

Morning sessions will be devoted to seminars given by worldwide recognized detector experts. They will be held in Padova, Aula della Vigna.

Afternoon sessions will be devoted to practical tutorials.  “Hands-on” laboratory exercises will allow participants to test detectors and techniques. They will be held at the INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro (LNL).

• Read-out sensors for TPCs: cryogenic liquid, gaseous for high energies and for low energies

Lab Tutorials

• Study of the 992keV resonance of the ²⁷Al(p,gamma)²⁸Si reaction
• Cosmic Rays detection with a liquid Argon TPC for neutrino physics
• Characterization of a new type of CMOS Geiger mode avalanche pixel sensor
• Neutron spectra measurement with Time of Flight technique
