Nearest airport to Piazza Armerina is Catania Airport, connected to many Italian and international airports by frequent flights operated by several airlines.
Piazza Armerina can be easily reached by bus departing from Catania Airport. Going out from the airport terminal, and walking for about 50 m on the right, you will find Interbus-Etna ticket seller and bus stop. Please note that on March, the 2nd, last Interbus-Etna bus departs from airport at 19.40; for those arriving later, a shuttle transportation service will be available; if you need that, please contact us at asyeosws@ct.infn.it.


If you want to reach Piazza Armerina by taxis, we warmly suggest to use the Radio-taxi company service (tel. +39-095-330966 English speaking operator). Contacts and info for reservation can be found in the website. In order to get a Radio Taxi at the airport you have to phone, and you will be told the name of the cab which will pick you up (it usually arrives within few minutes). Pay attention: Radio-Taxi pick you up outside the airport at the departure level (first floor) not on the arrival level (ground floor) where you only find taxi of other (more expensive) companies. Here you can find official fares. The cost is € 150.
