Previous week recap 1mSpeaker: Davide Fiorina (GSSI & INFN)
Previous week recap (by person) — week of 16/02/2026
Davide P.
- Mouser components: second batch delivered to CERN; transport to LNF agreed with Benussi.
- Gas connectors: arrived at RomeTech; shipment to LNF chosen.
- Bussetti material returned to LNF and received.
Elisabetta
- Identified a storage location for LIME copper in the LNGS GSSI lab; alignment with GSSI colleagues ongoing.
Davide F.
- Started procurement of O₂ + humidity sensors (quotes requested; ~€15k budget).
- Triggered He/CF₄ bottle procurement plan at LNGS using remaining 2025 funds.
- PRA update with NIER formally started; documentation/feedback flow initiated.
- Water pool integration reviewed with Cesidio; Environment Service confirmed “existing resin + silicone edges” solution (no extra resin layer).
- Defined CYGNO-04 near-term workflow: handling procedure → crane check → send Cu+PE package to Fantini (priority PE).
- Provided simulation inputs (volumes/weights) and started alignment with Giulia for simulation updates.
- Supported HFO final edits (with Melba); directionality draft trimmed.
Giorgio
- Presented the analysis GitHub task page.
- GEM packed; shipment blocked waiting for magazzino documentation.
- Follow-up ongoing with Tecnoalarm on bent cathode frame + GEM sandwich (update expected Tuesday).
- Tracked pending actions: Luigi meeting Adam/Alexis; Daniele to provide middle-bandelle cut instructions.
Stefano
- Confirmed XENON will not lend the Rb-83 source; received procurement information instead.
Giulia
- Centralized NaI gamma measurements (LNGS + LNF) into a GitHub repository (currently private).
- Next simulation meeting scheduled for Mon 23/02 at 14:00.
Andrea
- Action to organize a PubCom meeting focused on conferences.

DavideP report 1mSpeaker: Davide Pinci (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare)
- Mouser components: both batches in LNF
- 1/8" Gas connectors: sent to LNF by TNT, tracking MY17155749
- Source flange + new O-ring successfully tested on the vessel
- Tecno Alarm
- successfully re-shaped bandellas, that anyway don't perfectly fit on the reference. Small modification proposed by Daniele will be tested today;
- N66 structure almost successfully re-shaped (still 1-2 mm sagitta). Trying to recover this effect
- Today meeting with Tacca about copper-box handling in LNGS tunnel
- Nitrogen MFC will be tomorrow at LNF
- HV box tomorrow at LNF for tests

DavideF report 1mSpeaker: Davide Fiorina (GSSI & INFN)
-
Rometec (Affidamento a Consumo): finally in place. A few issues/misunderstandings to be reviewed today.
-
O₂ + humidity sensors: still waiting for the required procurement documents.
-
Gas supply (LNGS): place the gas order this week.
-
LN₂ + filters integration: waiting for feedback from NIER.
-
Copper box movement in Hall F: this week, with Cesidio, aim to close and review the movement procedure; execution should be managed by LNGS services.
-
Copper box drawings: Antonio and Filippo are finalizing the drawings; issues with the 3DExperience workflow introduced additional delay.
-
GEM inner frames: re-machined by Tecnoalarm, but still not fully compliant. A new intervention with Daniele and Tecnoalarm is planned today to modify them so they can be mounted.
-
Directionality paper: submitted to PubCom.
-
HFO paper: corrections still being implemented.

Simulation paper: I received the replies from the journal. The paper is accepted with minor revisions. I'll forward the detailed comments from the reviewers to the PC and start working on them. The deadline for resubmitting the paper is on March 12.
Proceedings for PD2025 (December 2025): Unfortunately, I overlooked the deadline for this contribution which is on March 4th. I'll try to have the 5 page document ready today and hope we can make it for the deadline.
