authorship rules
-
- DONE, added few lines in the twiki: "Each INFN author must be present in the INFN books as a member of CYGNO or INITIUM. Undergraduate students may sign papers that include results from their thesis work. Temporary collaborators, such as theoreticians, may sign papers to which they have directly contributed."

authorship rules during the transition from LIME to CYGNO_04
Our proposal is that authorship for CYGNO does not automatically translate into authorship for CYGNO_04. We believe it should be the responsibility of the local coordinator to evaluate who the active authors in their group are and to fill in the authorship table, indicating in particular the start and end dates and the activities the person is carrying out within CYGNO_04 to qualify as an author.
The working package leaders will then review these activities and, if needed, discuss with the local coordinator the actual level of commitment of the person involved.
We do not think it is appropriate to define strict or rigid rules to identify authors or to remove them. If specific cases arise that require discussion, this should first take place between the local coordinator and the relevant working package leader(s) possibly involving pubcomm.
To make this explicit, we propose to add the following bullet to the CYGNO_04 authorship rules:
-
Authorship for CYGNO_04 is based on active contribution to the project: only collaborators who contribute to CYGNO_04 activities should be included as authors. The identification of active authors is the responsibility of the local coordinator, based on declared contributions to CYGNO_04 and validated by the relevant working package leader(s).
We will take a few days to evaluate this proposal, possibly amend it, and then add it to the Twiki.
