The scientific program will cover themes of the ion sources science and technology that are relevant to the production of beams for scientific research and applications:

Production of highly charged ion beams;

Production of high-intensity ion beams;

Beam extraction and transport;
The driving idea of the workshop is to stimulate discussions among the attendees on several topics of interest by the community by means of dedicated round tables which usually are not part of the program of classical conferences.
Due to such a format, the workshop proceedings will be avoided, however, the contents of the several talks/questions/discussions will be made available to the community.
Open discussions and round tables on specific themes will be organised encouraging also a useful exchange of information between the different actors.
