Description
We review recent developments in direct and indirect
searches for weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) as
candidates for the dark matter component of the Universe. We discuss
the impact of updated limits and indications of signals on the
underlying theoretical framework, taking into account also the latest
results from collider searches for physics
beyond the standard model. Prospects for the future are summarized.
