P. Betti reports on the implementation in HS of the digitization of the direct ionization in PDs. The algorithm is currently available in HS (master). Next steps will add additional features and the verification of teh algorithm with 2021 TB data. Possible preliminary results will be shown at the technical meeting in preparation for next TBs, currently scheduled in 29-30 september.

 

Z. Tang reports on the study on the update crystal layout that includes larger gaps. Results on effective acceptance foe electrons and protons are in agreement with J. Casaus results on previous meeting. The geometry is ready to be circulated, and will be implemented in HS once received.

S. Bottai suggests to study the effect of the additional disomogeneity introduced by larger gaps in one direction only in energy reconstruction and PID for electrons. This requires full simulation data analysis, and will be done after the geometry implementation.
