Participant Support

Participant Support

The conference organisers aim to support all participants in the best possible way to create an inclusive environment that fosters scientific exchange.

Different kinds of financial support are available, especially thanks to the sponsorship of many institutions and laboratories. Fee reduction or waiver can be granted to conference attendees coming from disadvantaged countries. In exceptional cases support for accommodation and/or travel expenses can also be granted. Attendees unable to travel, because of the pandemic condition in their countries, are eligible for a reduction of the on-line participation fee. Support is foreseen for attendees with children in tow and for attendees with special needs. Family grants up to a maximum of 300 Euros are available. All the requests for support should be motivated and submitted for approval to the Local Organizing Committee by using the Financial Support Application. The deadline for submission of the application is May 15, 2022. The response from the Local Organizing Committee will be communicated by no later than May 31, 2022.

On-site child care will be organised and up to a certain capacity we will be able to provide this free of charge. The child care will be in a dedicated space in the same building of the conference venue and will be provided by professional child carers. In order to properly organise this service, we need to be informed in advance, so please make sure to indicate this on the registration form. The venue will also provide a quiet place for breast feeding, although this will be welcome anywhere, equipped with armchair, changing table and bottle warmer. Some of the social events, including the conference dinner, will provide a special menu for children.

The venue and social events will be fully accessible to delegates with reduced mobility.

Sessions will be live streamed and recordings will be made available. Plenary sessions will have a live captioning service. Participants who need to bring in-person support, e.g. a sign language interpreter, are welcome to do so and we will register their support person free of charge, allowing access to all social events. Please indicate this on the registration form.

A limited number of rooms at affordable price is available, please consult the Accommodation information page.

Participants requiring further support or with suggestions on how we can make the event more inclusive are encouraged to get in touch with the organisers.

The conference will of course follow all local health and safety requirements. Details of the measures in place and steps to be taken by the participants will be communicated closer to the start of the conference. Participants are asked to check the related information on the conference web page for Covid-19 Updates prior to accessing the venue.

If you require a visa invitation letter, please indicate it while completing the registration and payment process and, when requested, specify what information should appear on the letter.
