Venue and Travel Information

The second edition of NEPTUNE will take at Hotel Royal in Caserta, Italy (link to google map) in Vanvitelli Room. In the following, you will find some useful information on how to reach the train station in Caserta, while at this page is shown how to reach the meeting venue from the station.

Arrival by flight

The closest airport is Napoli Capodichino (http://www.aeroportodinapoli.it/), from which Caserta is easily reachable in the daytime by getting to the train station of Napoli, that is connected to the airport by the Alibus (http://www.anm.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1314), a bus service also connecting the seaport of Napoli. There are also direct buses from Napoli Capodichino to Caserta train station (https://www.atcbus.it/p/linea_aereoporto_nuovi_orari.htm), but expect them to be not on time at the airport, because they come from downtown Napoli and may suffer traffic jams or may be crowded in peak time, and pay attention to the stop location on the map. Buses stop in front of Caserta train station. Caserta is also reachable by taxi from Capodichino airport, but the connection is considered out-of-town (Caserta is the capital of another province in the region), so a round trip has to be paid, and we suggest to consider this option only if your plane lands in a time that is not covered by trains. Private companies are connecting Caserta to Roma airports as well (e.g. http://www.fiumicinoexpress.com/).

Arrival by train

The most comfortable way to get to Caserta is by train. The train station of Caserta is right in front of the Royal Palace and 600 meters far from the conference venue. The train schedule is available on http://www.trenitalia.com/. Trains from Napoli to Caserta are available on the same web site.

Arrial by bus

Caserta is reachable by Flixbus connections, and other long range bus lines.
