TRAVEL
The conference venue is located in Chia on the west side of the island about 40 km away from the main city Cagliari.
Public transportation exists with the ARST coach company, leaving from Piazza Matteotti, where the train station is located. However please check the timetable in advance as the frequency often changes with the summer months.
Dedicated transportation to/from the hotel from the airport can be arranged if a minimum number of requests is reached, the price will vary de[ending on the number of participants. It will be possible to hire cars at the airport if booked in advance and at the hotel itself once arrived there for daily trips, should you arrive there by other means.
ACCOMODATION
A number of rooms has been blocked at the conference venue Chia Laguna Resort hotel at the discounted price of
- Double room : euros 141.9
- Double room with single occupancy: euros 203.5
for half -board pension which includes breakfast and dinner with drinks included (1/4 litre of house wine, 1/2 litre water and coffee). A packed lunch will be available at the end of the morning sessions.
All prices are intended per person, and include VAT.
The rooms need to booked directly with the hotel at the link here , and will be reserved for us by the hotel until July 15th, 2019. No room will be guaranteed after this date. Minimum two nights required.
Participants should arrange the double room occupancy by themselves as the organizers are not arranging that. The names of the people occupying the room should be specified at the time of the booking. Accompanying persons are of course welcome, but no packed lunch will be provided for them. At the time of the booking just write that you are sharing the room with the accompanying person, and his/her name.
Other hotels are available in the area. In case you decide to use another hotel we suggest you hire a car to reach the conference venue in time for the talks.
