Description

In the framework of the FCC study, niobium-coated copper cavities are considered to operate at 400 MHz. Spinning is a potential alternative to conventional shaping methods of copper half cells. A step by step presentation of the complete spinning process will be explained, observing the effects of the stresses induced by the forming and the actions chosen to fight this specific behaviour of OFHC copper.
