Description
In this talk I will discuss the connections between some nonperturbative
features of the QCD vacuum and a possible dark matter candidate, the axion. While these relations are known since early '80s, only recently it was possible to start investigating these matters in a systematic way by using Lattice QCD simulations. I will discuss why these studies are particularly challenging from the numerical point of view and I will review the present status of this research field.
