The Italian Association of Physics Students (AISF) in collaboration with Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) and Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS) is pleased to announce
PAPAP - Particle & Astroparticle Physics Autumn Programme 2016
40 physics students from the Italian Association of Physics Students (AISF) and the International Association of Physics Students (IAPS) will meet in Rome and visit the University of Rome - Tor Vergata.
On second day, they will visit INFN laboratories in Frascati.
They will then move to the city of L'Aquila to spend two days at the LNGS and GSSI facilities, on October 4 and 5 respectively.
LNGS is one of the four INFN national laboratories. It hosts experiments from the field of Astoparticle Physics, Nuclear Astrophysics, and other disciplines requiring a low background environment.
GSSI is an international PhD school and a center for advanced studies in physics, mathematics, computer science and social sciences.
The programme will offer the unique possibility to overview the activity of GSSI and LNGS.
The researchers will review the activity on Dark Matter, Double Beta Decay, Nuclear Astrophysics, Low Background facilities and of the Theory Group.
After oral talk sessions the students will have the opportunity to visit both the LNGS Underground Laboratory and the GSSI headquarter.
