By plane
The closest airports are in Rome (Fiumicino Airport - www.adr.it/fiumicino & Ciampino Airport - www.adr.it/ciampino).
Gaspari company provides direct bus routes from Ciampino and Fiumicino to L’Aquila. You can find timetable and fares info on www.gasparionline.it. Gaspari buses will drop you off at Hotel Amiternum in L'Aquila. From there you can take any bus going towards the city center and get off at Collemaggio Terminal Bus. Also taxi cabs are available at hotel Amiternum. GSSI is 5/10 mins walking distance from Collemaggio Terminal bus.
By train/bus
L’Aquila railway station is not well connected, therefore we suggest to reach Rome by train (Tiburtina station) and then take an ARPA bus to L’Aquila (timetable is available either HERE or HERE). These buses leave from Tiburtina station and get to Collemaggio Terminal bus in L’Aquila (final bus stop). GSSI is 5/10 mins walking distance from Collemaggio Terminal bus.

Here you can find contact details of some hotels close to GSSI that we have pre-booked for the workshop.
In order to reserve your room you will have to contact the hotels independently and will have to state the word "COMPACT" so that the hotel will put you in the list of people attending the workshop. Each pre-booking deal will last until February 29. After that date of course it will still be possible to book your room but the hotels will not keep these rooms for CSQCD participants only.
