The CERN PCB workshop is producing MPGDs since more than 15 years. After a rapid historical overview , a precise situation concerning the
production of GEM and Micromegas will be presented .
In a second part and following a reminder concerning spark mechanism and damages a detailed explanation of the resistive protection scheme in Micromegas will be given.
