Description

The Borexino experiment has recently completed the Phase I and has already started the Phase II, with even lower radioactive background. The talk will summarize the result of the Phase I on solar and geophysical neutrinos. Besides, it will cover the contents of the letter of intent of Phase II, recently published on ArXiV. The Phase II aims at the completion of the study of the low energy solar neutrino spectrum (pp, pep and possibly CNO neutrinos) and at the search of new physics by means of solar neutrinos and, particularly, by means of artificial neutrino and anti-neutrino sources.
