Summary
The ALICE collaboration has carried out measurements of the total inelastic
and diffractive cross sections in pp interactions, using a van der Meer scan
and an analysis based on the distributions of gaps in charged particle
pseudorapidity distributions. The results, at sqrt(s) = 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV,
will be presented. The results will be compared with other experimental
results at the LHC and at lower energies, and with recent model
calculations.
