We are pleased to announce the XIVth International Symposium on Nuclear Symmetry Energy, 'NuSym26', to be held in the region of Catania (Italy), on September 14-18, 2026.
The symposium addresses experimental and theoretical studies of the equation-of-state (EoS) of isospin asymmetric nuclear matter, with its implications in astrophysics. The scientific sessions of NuSym26 will present latest results and new ideas on probes of the symmetry energy below and above saturation density from laboratory experiments as well as from astrophysical observations, gravitational waves and supernova neutrinos.
In the tradition of the NuSym symposium, a special session, to be held on October 2, will be focused on the TMEP initiative (Transport Model Evaluation Project).
Topics of the NuSym symposium
- Heavy-ion collision experiments and transport models
- Dense nuclear matter and neutron stars
- Isospin and spin dependence of nuclear interactions
- Short Range Correlations
- Probes of Esym from nuclear structure and collective excitations
- Clustering phenomenology in nuclear matter
- Strangeness in nuclei and nuclear matter
- Multi-messenger probes of the EoS and nucleosynthesis
- Bayesian analyses of multiple observables
- Supernovae neutrino and gravitational wave links to the nuclear EoS
- New instrumentation and detectors for future investigations
The scientific sessions will consist of invited talks and contributed presentations, selected from submitted abstracts.
We would appreciate it if you could bring this Symposium to the attention of your colleagues.
Participation of young researchers, postdocs and students is strongly encouraged.
Detailed information about registration fee, travel and lodging solutions will be published soon on this website.
