Description
Lepton Flavor Violation (LFV) is a key probe of physics beyond the Standard Model (SM), being extremely suppressed in the SM while significantly enhanced in many New Physics (NP) scenarios. The LHCb experiment performed dedicated searches for LFV in semileptonic b-hadron and leptonic tau-lepton decays, achieving competitive upper limits. In Run 3, LHCb will collect an unprecedentedly large dataset and benefit from improved experimental performance, further enhancing the sensitivity to such processes and extending the reach for potential NP signals.
