Travel info

You can take a hydrofoil/high speed ferry (italian: aliscafo) to Capri from Naples' main port Molo Beverello (50 min). There are also some slower boats (fast ferry 60 min, ferry 85 min) leaving from Porta di Massa, which is 500 m from Molo Beverello. Information about timetables can be found at the following link https://www.capritourism.com/en/ferry-schedule.

It is recommended to book hydrofoil/ferry tickets in advance, due to demand in high season. The last ferries leave Naples for Capri at 19:00/20:00.

Reaching Molo Beverello

Arriving by plane: from Napoli Capodichino Airport it takes 45 min to reach the Port of Naples. The company Alibus runs a bus that leaves the airport every 20-30 minutes (see map below) and arrives to the Naples Maritime Station (Stazione Marritima di Napoli), which is the final stop.

Taxis are also available (ride to Molo Beverello about 25 euro; there are also fixed rates, inclusive of baggage, regardless of the number of passengers carried; advise the driver before the taxi moves off).

Arriving by train: From Stazione Centrale (Central Station) the fastest way is to take the subway. Take Linea 1 (line 1) inside the station (Garibaldi subway stop) direction Piscinola and get out at the third stop, Municipio.

Reaching Anacapri

The meeting venue (villa Orlandi) is located in Anacapri, one of the two main villages on the island (the other one is called “Capri”, like the whole island). From Marina Grande (the arrival port) you can reach Anacapri by:

  1. Direct bus to Anacapri (runs on average every 15 min; cost=2,40 Euro; it takes 15 min.; buy a ticket at the ticket-desk). See map below for location of ticket office and bus station in Marina Grande. There is also the ticket app "ATC GO" to avoid queues at the ticket office.
  2. Taxi (it costs about 25 Euros; it takes 10 min.; verify the price before boarding the taxi).
