The European Strategy for Particle Physics Town Hall Meeting

Europe/Rome
Gianluigi Cibinetto (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare)
Description

Nov. 6th 2024 @ 2PM – C412

The European Strategy for Particle Physics is a key element in shaping the long-term future of the field. Mandated by the CERN Council, this strategy is developed through a broad consultation of the particle physics community. It actively seeks input from physicists worldwide and is closely coordinated with similar processes in the US and Japan to ensure regional alignment and the optimal use of global resources.

INFN is involved in several projects aligned with the Strategy. In the coming months, we will focus on updating and discussing our activities to prepare an input document for the CERN Council.

A town hall meeting will be held to discuss inputs from the local community. The agenda includes presentations on various activities from each of the scientific commissions. Time has been allocated for general discussion and for reflections and proposals from early career researchers.
