The writeup of the contributions to the Pisa Meeting will appear in a special issue of NIM-A.
As such it will follows the rules of the Journal. Therefore manuscripts will not be accepted if they have been published elsewhere or are expected to be published elsewhere.
The length of the contributions for final publication is (including author list, figures and references):
- four pages for oral contributions;
- two pages for poster contributions.
Pages are meant as standard NIM double column format.
The paper must be prepared following the rules set by Elsevier and reported at:

Please use "documentclass[5p,twocolumn,times,number]{elsarticle}"
After preparing the contribution, it must be submitted using the EES system.
Steps to be followed are outlined in some detail below:
1. Go to http://ees.elsevier.com/nima_proceedings
2. If you do not have an EES account on NIM, register and log in, otherwise simply log in
3. In the main menu follow the "submit paper" link
Then follow the submission path
a) In Menu "Select Article Type" select "Special issue: Elba 2012"
b) Enter title
c) Add/Edit/Remove Authors
d) Enter Keywords (to facilitate us please provide your session title)
e) Select manuscript classification (you can enter as many as needed from the pop-up menu)
f) enter comments for Editors (if any)
g) Request editor (please specify Marco Grassi)
h) attach files (follow instructions)
i) create PDF and follow instructions. The last step is left to you to approve (or not) the submission. Do not forget to click the "Ethics in Publishing" box.
Until you chose to "Approve Submission" the paper will NOT be processed. Until then you can change/remove/edit your submission.
