Description

Axions are a very well motivated candidate for Beyond the Standard Model Particle, as they can both address the Dark Matter and Strong CP Problems in the Standar Model. Stemming from them, axion-like particles (ALPs) have also gained some attention as they share most features with axions while being less restricted in their parameters. In this talk, I will present new strategies to search for them, both from the theoretical and experimental point of views, by considering specific well-motivated effective field theories and a feasible and promising experimental configuration involving magnetic fields and nuclear reactors.
