The aim of the symposium is to bring together theorists and experimentalists working in the field of quantum collapse models, proposed as solution to the measurement problem in quantum physics,  to discuss the present status of these models, both from theoretical and experimental points of view.

On the theoretical side dissipative and non-Markovian collapse models are being developed and the interplay between gravity and collapse explored; at the same time, experimentalists search for signatures of the proposed models with various and very different physical systems.

A discussion about the future in this field will be put forward involving experts and young researchers working in the field.

The symposium is organized with the support of the INFN-LNF, of the Foundational Questions Institute (Grants  No. FQXi-RFP-CPW-2008) and of the John Templeton Foundation (Grant 62099).
