Travel Information

Hotel Porto Conte is located on the south side of the Porto Conte bay (map), about 8 Km from Alghero Airport aereoporto;
The Workshop site can be reached in the following ways:

• by plane to the Alghero airport

• by ferries (for example: Moby Line, Tirrenia, SNAV, Sardinia Ferries) to the Porto Torres or Olbia harbor

The journey from Porto Torres and Olbia to the Hotel takes about 45 minutes and two hours respectively.

There is no public transportation from the Alghero airport to the Hotel, taxi is available (the rate is about Euro 28,00 one way).
Workshop buses will be provided according to the following schedule:

September 7 (from Alghero Airport to Hotel Porto Conte)
2:00 PM or
4:00 PM or
7:30 PM or
12:00 PM

MEETING POINT is at luggage return (arrival flight)
You will find the driver with the "Compton Sources for X/gamma Rays: Physics and Applications Workshop - Hotel Porto Conte" sign.

September 12 (from Hotel Porto Conte to Alghero Airport)
7:00 AM or
10:00 AM or
3:30 PM

Participants are kindly invited to communicate to the Secretariat own choice (only one for September 7 and only one for September 12) !
