INFN Accelerators is led by a committee interested in liaising between INFN's community of accelerator experts and its various institutes and laboratories. The acceleration committee also facilitates communication with the Institute's top management including the President, the Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors.
The group consists of various specialists with extensive experience in accelerators and accelerator-related technologies and promotes the formation of related thematic networks among other accelerator experts on topics of significant interest. The group allows a better identification of the moderators to the moderators and performs a coordination function between them.
The accelerator groups have the purpose of stimulating the harmonization of the Institute's skills and instrumental equipment in this sector and of encouraging participation in regional, national and international tenders, as well as playing a consultative role, in the field of particle accelerators also on INFN's strategic lines in the sector.
